After the wide acceptance and tremendous success of Samsung Galaxy S4 across many countries, Samsung is now planning for it’s descendant, the Samsung Galaxy S5 to have an iris scanner which is to be released by April 2014.
“Many people are fanatical about iris recognition technology… We are studying the possibility,” said Young-hee Lee, executive vice president of marketing for Samsung mobile’s division, in an interview at the CES conference in Las Vegas. This indicates that the Galaxy S5 may possibly get an iris scanner. The Iris scanner identify a person based on his/her eye pattern. This method is more accurate and secure than the fingerprint technology introduced in Apple’s iPhone 5S.
S5 is scheduled to release a year after the S4, in March or April 2014. Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 was almost similar in their looks. But, Galaxy S5 will feel the difference from it’s predecessors in display and the feel of the cover. We can also expect new advanced features in Galaxy S5. The details of those new features would be out soon.
