Samsung Galaxy J5(2016) Features Review
The main camera in Galaxy J5 6 is 13 Megapixels. From the test video itself, it can be seen that the auto focus in J5 6 is lightening fast. Even when the objects are close enough, the focus is done instantly, without a delay. Images captured through this 13MP camera is really good. The camera has f/1.9 aperture and of course, it comes with LED flash. In addition to normal camera settings, J5 6 camera features an extra ‘mode‘ option. The auto mode: which automatically sets the exposure and colour so as to get the best image, no hassle. The special ‘pro mode‘ , allows the user to manually set the ISO sensitivity, exposure value and white balance while taking the pictures. This is similar to what we do in digital cameras. The panorama mode enables to take consecutive images in either horizontal or vertical direction. The ‘continuous mode’ is to take pictures continuously and ‘sport mode’ to capture images of fast moving objects. The ‘sound and shot’ mode is like a short video which allows to add a few seconds of background voice to the captured image. The primary camera also features Geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection. The video recording in J5 6 is 1080p HD @30fps.
Front selfie camera with Flash
Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 packs a 5 Megapixel front camera with inbuilt flash capability. With this front camera, you will be able to get clarity selfies at day light. At low light conditions or during night, the flash will aid you. In addition to the normal selfie mode, there is a ‘wide angle selfie’ mode to get the whole group of people in a single pic. The interval shot gives the option to select the best pic from a series of continuous shots. As in the primary camera mode, the J5 6 front camera also features the ‘Sound and shot’ mode.
Massive 3100mAh battery
The 2600 mAh battery in Galaxy J5 got a boost to 3100mAh. The amazing fact is this is 100mAh more than Samsung’s current market leading flagship smart phone, the Samsung Galaxy S7. As these days we always matter the battery charge, a capacity of 3000 mAh or greater is always essential. The only drawback here is, it lacks the quick charging capability.
Hardware and Memory
The CPU in Galaxy J5 6 is 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 Quad-core. It has an Adreno 306 GPU for gaming. Both are same as it’s predecessor. The RAM size increased from 1.5 GB TO 2 GB which is really desirable. This will speedup applications and its execution. The internal memory is 16 GB and the external memory card is dedicated which is expandable up to 256 GB.
S Bike Mode
This is a salient feature of the Samsung Galaxy J5 6. S Bike Mode is intended for the safety of bike riders. If the S Bike mode is activated, if an incoming call comes when the user is riding the bike, a prerecorded voice will be given to the dialer telling that the user is riding. If the call is so urgent, the call will be forwarded to the user. The app also takes care that the call is connected only after the bike is stopped. Please note that the call charges are applicable to the dialer even when the prerecorded voice is heard.

Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 -Review after One Month use
After one month use of Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 edition, i am feeling satisfied. The features of this phone is excellent for an average user. The camera quality is outstanding. The 13MP main camera has great auto focus which is lightening fast. The front camera’s flash is also good for taking great selfies at low light or during night. You will surely get an upper hand among your friends. The screen clarity and resolution is good. The adaptive display changes the screen according to the surroundings. You can install other auto brightness apps which will also work well according to the changing light conditions you are into. The battery capacity is really awesome. For me on heavy use, it will remain for almost 2 days. And for just normal use upto 4 days. That’s really incredible. The phone build it good.
Coming to the cons, I think the most notable drawback of J5 2016 is the absence of quick charging. It takes around 2 hours and more for the battery to fully charge from 5%. But, as the battery remains for so long it is ok. The next is the hold on issue in the caller screen, for which i have found a solution by installing an app. Rest all is good.
